Beautiful Girls
Isn't it one of the eternal paradoxes that good girls always seem to like the bad guys while the nice natured, decent chaps seem to be just lurking around alone? This is something which baffles many as we pause and wonder as to why is it that good girls seem to prefer the bad guys?
You may have seen it in college. The most beautiful girls, the dream girls hang out with and even actively pursue the bad guy? The guys with the worst grades, and sometimes downright down and out types land up with the coolest and most sought after girls. They go around with their bikes of flashy cars, may get into brawls and hang out at pubs, and yet the girls converge on these macho guys like bees gather around honey.
Traditionally, guys think that being nice and decent, courteous and caring will get them the girls. They know that from childhood they are taught that they must be well mannered as well as macho, strong yet sensitive, which is quite a tall order and a difficult image to live up to. The rather contradictory expectations can make the 'good guys' seem restrained and as an extension of this, goody-goody types and boring.
On the other hand, the proverbial bad guys have no such restrictions. They appear so self confident and have supremely high self esteem. They are their own masters, do as they please, come and go when they want, no place is out of bounds for them and they are so independent. Girls like this as they inspire confidence among girls. Girls would like to have a real MAN as their boyfriend, almost as if a macho guy who talks, walks and lives on his own terms is a trophy to display to their friends.
For girls, being with a bad guy is also quite thrilling and exciting. Life is unpredictable, fast paced and all so exhilarating with a guy who makes his own rules. On the other had, the bad guy can seem so very predictable and dull, quite boring and insipid. The good guy lives by society's rules and seems quite less than original. He follows the well beaten path so there is hardly anything new or exciting to look forward to.
Bad guys also seem to be a kind of challenge for girls as they are so independent minded. Girls are always up to a challenge and taming a so called 'bad guy' is every girls dream. It's almost as if the good girl derives satisfaction in attracting the bad guy and making him hers, which is a sort of conquest, in a good way. If they feel that the guy is hard to get, they will put in greater effort to keep him because after all e has so many options and yet if he chooses her, it's quite cool and something to brag about.
There is no such challenge in being with a bad guy, which makes him seem less desirable. After all there is also a thrill in eating 'forbidden fruit' which girls seem to crave for.
If you are a guy, we are not advocating that you become a punk to get the girls. Be nice, but also get some excitement and creativity into your life to arouse some interest in the girls for you. Don't be a doormat in the doorway of life, is all we are saying.
