We are stationed at a military base in the South. For the past couple weeks, there has been a little tent outside the doors of the BX selling Obama memorabilia. Stuff like T-shirts, hats, framed pics saying things like "We did it", "Black Power", "Blacks in da house" I've stopped to look a tthe items and the owners just talk about how "Whiteys going down".
Now, I seriously doubt that if McCain won that there would be a little tent saying "Old, white guy wins" Do you think this should be allowed?
The point is that this is a military installation not the mall. Political rallies are not allowed, hell we can't even put political signs in our yards but I can't go shop without seeing this and hearing the people that work there talk about "Whitey"
It does go to show how mature our voters really are. I think selling that stuff is on base is extremely poor taste as well as poor judgment. of fact. What people aren't considering is that many white people voted for him as well. Many whites don't agree with discrimination either. My son is 1/2 white 1/2 black. He's one of he best kids I've known. I'm not saying that because he's mine. In a huge way, this is their mentality. I'm the victim.
As far as whiteys going down?? Ignore what they're saying an move on. Don't say a word. The only thing you'll be doing is causing your self trouble.
