How do i keep a classic car in good condition?
I'm buying my first classic car this summer (possibly a Ford Prefect 100E). How do store it to stop it rusting in winter? And are there any routine checks i should make? If so, how often, and what do i need to look for?
I haven't bought it yet. I'm getting it at the end of July
Ideally it should be stored in a garage. If this is not possible then it should be stored underneath a tarp or canvas cover. You should jack it up on bricks or axle stands and remove the battery. Spray old sump oil onto the bottom of the car and grease all greasing points. Spray it all over with WD-40 and clean the leather seats with leather polish. Good Luck!
