While driving on a state highway on the Washington State side of the Columbia River, I encountered an eerie site: it's an exact replica, (built to scale, I was later told) of Stonehenge! It sits in on a beautiful bluff above the river and the experience of standing there was almost mystical (if a bit bizarre)!
What's the reason for it being there, and (most of all!) HOW DID THEY REPLICATE IT IN ITS EXACT FORM? (In other words, how did they find rocks that conformed exactly to shape and size of those at Stonehenge?)
I've seen it.
They used larger stones and cut/shaped them to match.
