How do you get costumes to look like they are being torn on stage?
I'm designing costumes for our production of EVIL DEAD the MUSICAL and I would like any ideas on how to get clothes to tear and rip on stage without really doing it. So far I can only think of Velcro.
velcro is a good idea if you have enough, but you could also pre-cut the clothes and then hand sew them together losely so they will tear easily.
I've never tried it, so I hope it works, have fun!
