what kind of lights do real fashion photographers use for their photo shoots?
as you guys no(if you read my answers) I know a lot about the industry(mainly modeling) and I want to be a fashion photographer(for commercial and high fashion). I am a beginner photographer(i'm only 15) and I have never been able to find any answers to my question. Do they use continuous lights or strobe lights or a mixture of the two? I need all the information you guys can give me. Thanks a lot!!!
We use all light.
Outdoors, on location:
* Sunlight supplemented with battery powered studio flash units with scrims and reflectors as needed
In studio:
* Continuous lighting, both stage and standard 750 watt incandescent.
* Studio electronic flash units with many different light modifiers like scrims, flags, snoots, softboxes, umbrellas, both reflecting and shoot through, gobos are just a few of the modifiers we use.
