What is Internet Oasis and Free Public Wifi.?
I was checking wireless networks in my range ...and was suprised to see Internet Oasis(FREE) and Free Public Wi Fi on my screen... it can't be anyone near me ...I live in Northern Michigan(Houghton Lake) in a small town, surrounded by old people, and also my own router only gets 4/5 bars and its in the next room over.....the only thing i can thing off is maybe its coming out off a tower ?? Has anyone ever heard of these or knows where or what they may be?
I googled Oasis and didn't come up with a company with that name.
As long as it showed up in the "Available Networks" screen and NOT an icon on your desktop or in your Programs List, then you're safe. IF it DID show up as a program.. then I'd recommend NOT clicking on it, as it could be a Virus or Spyware.
There are several Wifi Hotspot search tools on the internet.
Try Googling Hotspot finder or Wifi locations, etc.
Most of these sites depend upon USERS to report new sites or Businesses to add themeselves to these lists. -- So anotherwards, they're not always complete.
