How much will my emergency room bill be, rougly?
I have insurance with Kaiser, but I was taken to the closest emergency room which was at the County hospital. I had ingested an unknown amount of marijuana mixed in with food a couple hours earlier, and was feeling extremely fatigued and could barely breath. I was there for a couple hours and finally started vomiting a lot. The doctors didn't really do much but give me an IV and make sure I would be ok. I was discharged after a couple of hours. How much will my bill be about? My sister who went to the emergency room before was charged 2000 and all they did was give her some basic pills, but she didn't have insurance. Will my bill be thousands or will my insurance make it a reasonable payment? Thank you
My brother fell and bit into his tounge last year and it was bleeding and he was taken to the ER and the doctor said that it was going to heal itself and then made a phone call and he was charged $800 for all of this you will probably end up with a hefty bill of $500 maybe less becuase you have to pay for the IV, the bed, the nurses, and the doctor and this isnt cheep and if the insurance company thinks that it was your fault then they will pay a minnimal amount on there side. But dont sweat it just check your plan and see what it covers and if it covers the ER then you are set.
