The actor's actor Meryl Streep, the star that a lot of female acting students yearn to be like one day, was born in Summit, New Jersey on 6/22/1949. Graduated from Yale Drama School.
Streep is remembered for her exquisite acting in 58 movies, including "Kramer vs. Kramer (1979)", "Sophie's Choice (1982)", "The Deer Hunter (1978)", "Out of Africa (1985)", and "Silkwood (1983)".
Meryl Streep was nominated for the Academy Award for a total of 13 times in 1979, 1980, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1991, 1996, 1999, 2000, and 2003 and won it in 1980 and 1983 for "Kramer vs. Kramer (1979)" and "Sophie's Choice (1982)".
