Divorcing a cheating Soldier but getting the short end of the stick....?
I was married less than a year to my husband before he cheated on me. I have the statement from the woman he cheated on me with along with the incriminating e*mails where their affair is evident. He also admitts to asking my 17yr old sister for nude pictures. I have e*mail proof of that plus his own text message confession of it, He's 21. I'm having difficulty getting him to pay for his half of the divorce- it should be an easy $125 for an uncontested divorce. I talked to his PSG and his CO however I got told that I was a liar and they didn't care about the proof that I had, they didn't want to hear it, and that he doesn't have to do a "DaMnn" thing. I want to know 1. If the army Sg is allowed to talk to me in that disrespectful manner and 2. Is there really nothing the Army can do to help me make THEIR SOLDIER pay for the divorce brought on by his infidelity - which I had been under the impression was illegal?
You could pay a couple thousand dollars for a divorce attorney, or pay the $125.
Also, the Army could not care any less about you and your problems, they are engaged in a couple of wars right now.
