would you keep or throw away a postcard sized flier if it was a magnet or regular paper?
I'm starting a small business, and I'm deciding on whether to pass out regular fliers or invest in magnet one's. I do want people to look at the fliers and not just throw them away, I realize the regular paper fliers are cheaper but then again if they aren't being read then I'm just throwing away my money. If it's worth investing In magnet fliers then I'll do it, but I want your opinion and to picture yourself as a person who sees a flier in their car, would you throw it away if its regular paper or keep it if it is magnetic (to use it on your fridge?????). Please picture yourself as a potential customer not in the business owner kind of way. . .
Magnetic flyers are very expensive.
Maybe you mean magnetic business cards. Those are very popular. I have some that are over 20 years old.
But some people collect them. That does not mean you will get any business, but it means they will not be tossed out!
A couple of things:
Choose a nice, big, easy to read font and font size.
Color, if available, sells. But keep it simple 1 or 2 colors at most! Use dark colors for writing!
Give a contact name, phone number, and if possible email addy.

The better the paper (ie the thicker and more substantial) the more it costs, but the more results you may get. (Flimsy stuff gets tossed.)
Don't get too fancy, unless you are selling a premium priced service / product to people with lots of dough.
