Copyrights after 70 years since his death?
I heard about one famous painter and he died. His work is amazing. Many people go and watch it. I've been there and could buy something from his work (postcards, posters, etc.) He died and in 2010 it's 70 years since his death so is his work and all paintings in free domain then? i.e. i would like to print and sell it.
It all depends on exactly when the work was created, when or if it was published, and possibly if/when the copyright was registered and/or renewed. See the site below.
