Vintage Old
I am looking for someone to help me with this Vintage old doll?
How can i find out about this doll, she is very old but she has no numbers are markings on her, she has teeth and hair like coarse. Plus her eyes just open and close and look so real. She has a FLANGE NECK, Ears that are molded right in with the doll's head, her body has cracking spots, cloth is sewing in to the arms legs and head only.

This site is better than the Blue Book of Dolls, I have a wonderful library of doll books, and some books are just on the compo dolls and the selection of the number of dolls to look at is better on the web, and in the compo books on dolls.
I have been repairing dolls for 20 years now and sell collections on ebay and ruby lane, there are very few dolls I do not know.
Well the doll is definitely composition and American or Canadian made, What happened between the two countries they exchanged molds between some of the factories.
She has molded hair and tin eyes 4 upper teeth and is from the 30's what was called a moma doll because we you turned her over she cried. looks like the 3-5 fingers are together this also helps with the id.
She may be a Horseman Doll, RoseBud or Babs plus tin eyes ( this doll had molded hair) they were not marked, they had 4 upper teeth and the fingers are together the same as yours. Had a paper hang tag.

Well I checked and she is not Canadian, but a Horseman from the late 30's tp the 40's, and in 1947 they did not make composition dolls anymore everything moved to hard plastic and live skin. Hope this helped.
